Love for the Ladies is a coed, team rail jam event (skiing and snowboarding) that raises money for the Vail Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Group. This year we exceeded last years donations and grossed $15,883! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We couldn’t have raised the money without the volunteers, donators and especially the sponsors. Check out the video!
Again this year, we did the design for the LFTL event (poster, shirts, ect). If you haven’t had a chance to check out the tees yet, take a look. Upstate Merch printed them for us this year, and they turned out pretty good! It is great to have a screen printer that understands what an oversized, full front print should look like.

When back at home, Tyler and I shot a video of my brother (DJ Rixon) spinnin’ at EPIC club in the cities. It was pretty awesome to see my brother spinnin’ in front of such a big crowd. I would be so nervous. UK DJ and DJ Ben Michales were also spinnin’ that night and it was a pleasure to see their music in action as well. I am pretty happy how the video turned out… the DSLRs are great in low light!
Awhile back, we traveled to New York (for the first time) with SSM to cover the Toy Fair at the Javits Center. It was a lot to take in, from the toys to the city. Tyler and I shot video, Preson Utley shot the stills and Rich Statts headed up the game Play Happens. Check out the recap video we put together
.
It seems like every time I come home, I end up shooting some photos of bodie, so it has become normal to do a post about it. Check out these shots of him on the last day we could hike the beach before the water came up too high. Fun stuff.

Its, that time of year again…Secret Stache Media and Workhorse Collective teamed up bring you the third annual Love For The Ladies event. Yes, it is a breast cancer benefit rail jam. It is awesome. It is fun. And it is for a good cause. Join the fun and win some free product! Visit LoveForTheLadies.com for more info.

Today, we walked around Chinatown, and some other parts of the city. We met up with Katiah and went to a pretty good burger place. It was nice to have a day off to relax and enjoy the city.

Day 3, It’s a wrap for the Toy Fair NY. This was our last day at the Javits Center and now we plan to spend some time tomorrow exploring New York before we fly back to Denver.
Toy Fair NY Day 2 went awesome! We got to check out some really neat toys. Check out the video and see some of the toys in action!
Tyler, Preston, Rich and I went out to NY to do all the media for the Toy Fair. Check out the opening ceremony from the first day!
Tyler, Rich and I attended the Denver Big Air contest in Denver last week. Wow, what a crazy scaffolding setup! We were there watching Windells Academy student Easton Gilman, who competed in the event. It was a unique contest to see…but I would never pay $45 to watch snowboarding, even if it is in the heart of Denver.

Some more photos from the Europe trip. Slovenia. A wonderful place, with wonderful people. We visited a little town on the coast and met some great people who showed us the town, and Slovenian food and wine. Yum. We tried to venture to the caves, but got stuck in a snowstorm and had to turn back. The roads were horrible, but Tim, and the Volvo got us back to out hostel.

We left Cinque Terra, and headed east with our possy Tim Windell, Tyler Malay, Andrea, and Jay. Venice. What an amazing place. I have never seen anything like it. Beautiful.

So, randomly one day I received an email from Columbia marketing asking if I would ever so kindly test one of their new Omni Heat Technology jackets.(the frosty forest parka is the one I tested). They said that being a graphic designer and videographer of the outdoors, I was in their target market. They were right, of course, I anxiously replied YES! Shortly after, I got a jacket in the mail and began testing. The jacket was not the fit I expected, but it was very warm, even in harsh Minnesota and Wisconsin conditions. Bodie helped me test the jacket hiking and cross country skiing. The inside shell was great removable feature to have when doing physical activities outside. Anyway, thanks Columbia for including me in the test! Thanks for shooting photos Tyler.

We drove around to witness the flooding in Oregon and arrived at Lolo Pass just as the road was about to wash out. It was amazing to see such natural destruction along the Sandy River. We watched the river take down countless 50 foot tall trees, ripping them off its banks and swallowing them up. Amazing. Tyler Malay and I put this little edit together, have a look.
Had a pretty low key weekend. Worked on some personal design and branding projects, and thats about it. My website will soon be updated and built on wordpress. I cant wait! Oh, and we had an exciting day watching all the flooding. Wow, it was sure amazing to see a river be so powerful. We saw 60 foot tall trees get taken down in a matter of seconds.

We left Rome after a quick 2 days of exploring. We headed to a Sienna, in Tuscany for a night and then made it to Cinque Terra. I have never seen anything like it. Cinque Terra is a quaint costal area consisting of 5 little fishing villages (oh, and did I mention they don’t allow cars!). There was good company, great sights and amazing food.

I recently arrived back from a 2 week trip to Italy, Slovenia and Austria with Tim, Andrea, Jay, Tyler and myself. It was amazing to see places with so much history - So much different than here. Here is the first of may batches of photos. These are from Rome.

On Holiday Break we went skiing with the family. It wasn’t the mountains, but we had great weather and it was a great time. Brought back some great memories.
