Love for the Ladies is a coed, team rail jam event (skiing and snowboarding) that raises money for the Vail Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Group. This year we exceeded last years donations and grossed $15,883! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We couldn’t have raised the money without the volunteers, donators and especially the sponsors. Check out the video!
When back at home, Tyler and I shot a video of my brother (DJ Rixon) spinnin’ at EPIC club in the cities. It was pretty awesome to see my brother spinnin’ in front of such a big crowd. I would be so nervous. UK DJ and DJ Ben Michales were also spinnin’ that night and it was a pleasure to see their music in action as well. I am pretty happy how the video turned out… the DSLRs are great in low light!
Awhile back, we traveled to New York (for the first time) with SSM to cover the Toy Fair at the Javits Center. It was a lot to take in, from the toys to the city. Tyler and I shot video, Preson Utley shot the stills and Rich Statts headed up the game Play Happens. Check out the recap video we put together
Day 3, It’s a wrap for the Toy Fair NY. This was our last day at the Javits Center and now we plan to spend some time tomorrow exploring New York before we fly back to Denver.
We drove around to witness the flooding in Oregon and arrived at Lolo Pass just as the road was about to wash out. It was amazing to see such natural destruction along the Sandy River. We watched the river take down countless 50 foot tall trees, ripping them off its banks and swallowing them up. Amazing. Tyler Malay and I put this little edit together, have a look.
I am un-officially graduated and back at home in Hudson, WI. It has been too long since an entry. Christmas was great. We went to Trollhaugen yesterday…all the fresh snow was wonderful! Anyway…gotta run. We are going shopping. I finally put some footy together from last winter. Check out the edit featuring Robbie Walsh and Viktor Simko.
Sister Ann and I have been cleaning/packing today. She is packing up for college at so olaf, and I am unpacking, packing, organizing and trashing my stuff. I can actually walk around my room now. I also finished up an edit from the vans invitational in Portland last week. Tyler and I went down there to shoot the event…we got media passes - it was nice to be able to get close without dealing with the big crowd. There was some amazing riding at the contest, and a lot of riders from MN. The top 2 finishers were from minnesota. cool. here is the edit.
Hey. Its a rain day today. Ryan and I finally sat down and put some photo orders through. We went to the Shack the other night for Jeff’s 28th Birthday and it was a good time. I worked this morning at the BrewPub, and we are thinking about going to a movie later today. Eric says Hot Fuzz is awesome and he wants to see it again! Anyway, check out the edit.
